House Extension – Petrie Terrace

Allan Van Planning were engaged to achieve planning approval for alterations to a pre-1946 dwelling house located in Petrie Terrace, Brisbane. The proposal included partial demolition, raising the building, extending the building and non-compliant setbacks. The Neighbourhood Plan for Petrie Terrace is a complicated document, however we managed to use the unique planning outcomes successfully to achieve a great outcome for the site. The client was able to accommodate 2 car accommodation on the site (very difficult for dwelling houses in Petrie Terrace) and a reduced front setback to minimise the construction costs of shifting the building rearward on the site.
